The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Demien Myasz has been cut.
Gomi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Myasz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gomi on his heels. He'll look to pass Gomi's guard now, I'm sure.
Myasz works over Gomi with some ground and pound from guard.

Let's hope that Myasz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Myasz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gomi parries the strikes from Myasz easily there. Myasz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gomi to escape.
Myasz has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gomi is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Myasz yanks on the arm and Gomi is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Myasz.
