Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Volkov (ranked 3789 p4p, 4609 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 244 weight class). Conor McGregor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor McGregor!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor dives in and grabs Volkov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Volkov pushes down on McGregor's head and hops out.
McGregor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Volkov as he jumps to the side.
Volkov pushes McGregor up against the cage in a clinch.
Volkov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Volkov closes the distance and clinches.
McGregor manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Volkov just leaning against McGregor, taking a breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGregor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Volkov as he avoids it easily.

Volkov tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGregor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Volkov somewhat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Volkov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McGregor goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Volkov rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McGregor's guard! Nice work there by Volkov!

McGregor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McGregor darts in looking for a takedown but Volkov gets double underhooks and turns McGregor into the cage.

Volkov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGregor tries to avoid it but Volkov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGregor to the ground. McGregor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
