Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Miranda!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Miranda has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Davies misses with a hook.
Davies plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Miranda will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Davies lands a front kick.
Davies pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miranda with the counter takedown but Davies avoids it easily.

Miranda shoots for a double leg takedown but Davies sprawls well. He's pushed Miranda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Miranda misses with a low kick as Davies jumps back.
Davies goes for a double leg but Miranda avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Miranda continues to drive forward.

Miranda's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Miranda drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davies pulls his leg out and moves away.
Davies scores with a head kick. Miranda tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Davies pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Davies throws a half hearted mid kick.

Davies misses with a head kick.
Miranda shoots in and drives through. Davies sprawls well.
Tommy Davies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Miranda.
Miranda is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Davies's half guard.
Davies slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miranda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Davies defends it well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Davies displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miranda.
Miranda steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Davies. That one must have hurt.
Davies lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Miranda drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Davies defends it well.
Davies dives in and grabs Miranda's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miranda pushes down on Davies's head and hops out.

Miranda on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Miranda jumps guard and drags Davies to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davies accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Miranda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Davies wants to control the action here but instead Miranda manages to pass to full mount!

Miranda is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Davies to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Davies shrugs it off.

Davies tries to lock up and control but Miranda gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Joe Miranda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

And Miranda tries to counter it with a takedown but Davies pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Davies is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Miranda is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Miranda has escaped and now he's on top!

Davies is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Miranda asserts his dominance and retains side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Miranda has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Davies!
Miranda tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Miranda throws some wild stikes that Davies manages to avoid easily.
Miranda misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Miranda jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Davies manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Joe Miranda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Miranda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
