Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between BJ Lewson (ranked 3644 p4p, 3765 weight class) and Kukju Bujaia (ranked 400 p4p, 0 weight class). Bujaia is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by tay tam. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, BJ Lewson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kukju Bujaia! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bujaia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lewson gets full guard. Lewson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bujaia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bujaia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bujaia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lewson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bujaia has Lewson in his guard. Lewson trying to control but Bujaia is working from the bottom. Lewson is pushing down on Bujaia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bujaia is fighting to maintain full guard but Lewson has managed to sneak the leg through. Lewson wants to advance to full mount but Bujaia doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Lewson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bujaia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lewson stands and throws Bujaia's legs to the side, diving into side control. Bujaia wants to control but Lewson postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewson advances to full mount. Lewson fails to take his opponent's back. Bujaia is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Bujaia is squirming around, avoiding Lewson's attempts to control the action. Bujaia stops Lewson from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Lewson looking to secure an arm triangle but Bujaia defends it well. Lewson avoids the attempt from Bujaia to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bujaia can do anything to dispel that myth. Bujaia has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Lewson tries to get the hooks in deep but Bujaia pushed the leg off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Bujaia is defending well but eventually Lewson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Bujaia has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). BJ Lewson! BJ Lewson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
