Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Curtis (ranked 1627 p4p, 1665 weight class) and Antoine Berg (ranked 172 p4p, 176 weight class). Curtis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Prodigy - Omen. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rory Curtis!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Antoine Berg!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Berg circles away.
Berg scores with a punch to the head.
Berg has closed the distance and engaged Curtis in a clinch.
Curtis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Berg to keep the fight standing.
Curtis tries to pull guard but Berg won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rory Curtis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Curtis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Berg walks away with a smile on his face. Curtis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Curtis fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Curtis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Berg is trying to defend but Curtis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Berg is trying to get back to full guard.
Curtis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Berg gets back to half guard.
Curtis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Berg doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Curtis.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Curtis wants to work for an arm triangle but Berg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Berg is refusing to be controlled, as Curtis sits in half guard.
Berg wants to get back to his feet.
Curtis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Berg!
You get the feeling that Berg really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Berg is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Curtis has taken his back.
Curtis is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Berg won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Curtis off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rory Curtis!

Our winner, Rory Curtis, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
