Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terenti Pushkin (ranked 2591 p4p, 3127 weight class) and William Cruz (ranked 257 p4p, 294 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terenti Pushkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, William Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz fails in his attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cruz or perhaps it was just good defense by Pushkin, which made it look bad.
Cruz darts in trying to clinch
and Pushkin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cruz's guard.
Pushkin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pushkin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pushkin wants to control from the top but Cruz keeps moving.
Cruz is looking to stand up but Pushkin isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cruz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pushkin's waist but Pushkin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cruz off to one side.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Terenti Pushkin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Cruz has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pushkin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cruz.

Well Pushkin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Terenti Pushkin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
