Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doo Ho Choi (ranked 3342 p4p, 4853 weight class) and Rasul Rzayev (ranked 325 p4p, 413 weight class). Rasul Rzayev is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rasul Rzayev!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Choi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rzayev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Choi has managed to get both his arms back between Rzayev's legs - danger averted.

Choi gets to his feet - Rzayev follows without any prompting.

Choi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Choi tries to get out of the position.

Rzayev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Choi is just riding it out for now. Rzayev eventually gives up the hold.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rzayev has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rzayev in particular looking to stall.
Rzayev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Choi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rzayev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Choi's waist but Choi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rzayev off to one side.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Choi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
