The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Benjamin Barella tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dion Barella shapes to counter with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dion Barella throws a chopping leg kick but Benjamin Barella manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Benjamin Barella.
