Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Coles (ranked 1125 p4p, 1938 weight class) and Arthur King (ranked 140 p4p, 215 weight class). Coles's entrance music is HonestKey- Pass. A fine choice. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phillip Coles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arthur King! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King walks into a jab. Coles misses with a looping right. Coles slips under a jab from King. Coles definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A big right from Coles misses. Coles looks to throw the jab but King is out of range. King closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Coles's guard. King working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Coles's head. Coles is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. King throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Coles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. King wants to pass the guard but Coles is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. King throwing strikes from guard but Coles blocks nicely. King working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Coles's head. King is stalling in the full guard. King being controlled here momentarily. Coles's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. King tries to free his leg and advance position but Coles is retaining full guard. Coles is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. King misses with a looping right. King ducks under a wild hook from Coles. King misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Coles.

and Coles counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. King shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Coles manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coles seems keen to control King's posture. Coles tries to land a sweep but no joy. King slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. King works over Coles with some ground and pound from guard. Coles is adopting a defensive guard. King trying to control but Coles is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Coles pulls King in close to prevent any damage. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. King throwing strikes from guard but Coles blocks nicely. King pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coles is keeping the position for now. Coles working a defensive guard but King manages to pass into side control anyway.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coles keeps working.
That's five minutes gone in the round. King advances to full mount. Coles working to try and regain half guard.
King lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
King pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. King content just to control the position here. King thowing shots but they're missing.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Coles in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. King can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coles is looking to escape. Coles tries to lock up and control but King gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. King misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. King breaks from Coles's wrist control and lands an elbow. Coles is in all sorts of trouble here.

Coles is bucking up trying to escape but King cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
