Savinov's entrance music is HonestKey- Point A. A fine choice. Alexev Savinov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gerard Messing's chin.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savinov tries a head kick but it misses.
Messing feints the counter takedown.

Messing is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Messing lands with a straight right. Savinov didn't see that one coming.

Messing tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Savinov regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Messing.
Messing makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Savinov won't allow Messing to sweep him here.
Savinov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Messing has control of Savinov's left arm, preventing Savinov from doing any damage.
Savinov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Savinov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Messing is trying to control the position but Savinov postures up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Savinov is posturing up here but Messing has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Savinov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Savinov has to tap! Slick submission there by Messing!

In his post fight interview, Gerard Messing started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
