Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dover (ranked 1394 p4p, 2185 weight class) and Eduardo Carvalho (ranked 128 p4p, 183 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Dover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eduardo Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Carvalho. No joy for Dover on that attempt.
Carvalho feints the counter takedown.
Dover shoots in for a takedown but Carvalho shows good takedown defense.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dover.

Carvalho bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dover's guard.

Carvalho is pushing down on Dover's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dover is fighting to maintain full guard but Carvalho has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Carvalho counters with a three punch combo that has Dover backing up. Dover nods at Carvalho to acknowledge the strikes.
Carvalho throws a right hand that Dover ducks under and follows up with a left that Dover also avoids with ease.
Dover tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carvalho defends well and Dover ends up having to push Carvalho into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Carvalho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carvalho fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dover displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carvalho.

and Carvalho counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dover might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Carvalho throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dover is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dover connects with a nice short shot to Carvalho's temple.

Carvalho is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dover slips a nice elbow through Carvalho's hands, connecting with Carvalho's forehead.
Dover landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Dover looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Ben Dover overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dover looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carvalho with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dover looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Dover is nestled in close to Carvalho, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dover wants to control but Carvalho is keeping him busy.
Dover winds up and cracks Carvalho with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dover lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Carvalho quite badly. Carvalho pulls Dover in close trying to recover. Dover postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Carvalho on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Carvalho doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Dover!
