The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins closes the distance and clinches.
The referee calls for Hopkins to work.
Hopkins pulls guard.
Hopkins has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mcdonald off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Mcdonald throws a right and a left that Hopkins avoids nicely.

Hopkins steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mcdonald.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mcdonald has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hopkins to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mcdonald is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hopkins pulls down on the head and he's put Mcdonald to sleep! This one is all over!
