Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Laguera (ranked 3414 p4p, 2493 weight class) and Agnieszka Ostrowski (ranked 224 p4p, 169 weight class). Ostrowski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mystery Girl- Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Agnieszka Ostrowski has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alejandro Laguera's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alejandro Laguera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Agnieszka Ostrowski! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laguera defending well as Ostrowski loads up on a big left hand. A combination from Ostrowski does no damage. Ostrowski lands with a straight right. Laguera didn't see that one coming. Laguera closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ostrowski quickly recovers to half guard. Laguera prevents Ostrowski from standing back up.
Laguera is controlling the pace.
Ostrowski wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laguera is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ostrowski is staying active underneath Laguera, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Laguera is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ostrowski is defending well though. Laguera let's go of the attempt for now. Laguera is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ostrowski's half guard. Ostrowski wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ostrowski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Laguera controls the pace. Ostrowski is looking to stand up but Laguera isn't so interested in that idea.

Laguera looking to sit in guard and control but Ostrowski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Laguera is adopting a defensive guard.

Ostrowski works his way back into a safe position though. Ostrowski wanted to stand there but Laguera had control of the position. Laguera has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Ostrowski wants to stand but Laguera is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ostrowski stalks Laguera and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Laguera's face. Laguera staggers backwards, shaken. Laguera looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alejandro Laguera. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Laguera, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
