Varland throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Aliev throws a big counter combination but Varland scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Varland misses with a hook
and Aliev counters with a single leg into guard. Varland didn't expect that.
Aliev passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Aliev is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Varland looks calm but he's in trouble here. Aliev gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Varland is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Aliev lets go of the hold and Varland can pop his arm back in it's socket.
