Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jay Maker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adolf Roser! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jay Maker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maker fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Maker clinches with his opponent.
Roser goes for a takedown attempt but Maker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Roser takes a body punch but keeps moving. Roser takes a shot right to the bread basket. Maker scores with a jab to the jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Maker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rosers head. Maker is trying to break the clinch but Roser has him pressed against the cage. Maker tries to break free but Roser pushes him back against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Maker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Maker is trying to push Roser away but Roser has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Roser is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Maker pulls him back up using the underhooks. Come on Maker - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

That sent Roser stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Roser walks into a stiff left hand from Maker. Maker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Maker lands a left and a right that send Roser crashing to the mat, dazed. Maker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Roser gets tackled into the cage by Maker. Maker maintains the clinch. Maker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Maker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Maker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Roser eats them both and turns towards Maker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Maker is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Maker moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Maker lands a jab to the nose. Maker rushes Roser and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Roser pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Maker is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roser is breathing heavily. Maker jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maker content to slow the pace in the clinch.
