And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabinho Tavares!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares lands a right hook to the body.
Lenkov misses with a takedown
and Tavares counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lenkov thinking.
Tavares stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tavares wants it to stay on the feet.
Lenkov darts in looking for a takedown but Tavares gets double underhooks and turns Lenkov into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Lenkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lenkov drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tavares doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lenkov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tavares fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lenkov shoots and misses
and Tavares counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tavares stalks Lenkov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lenkov's face. Lenkov staggers backwards, shaken.
Tavares jabs at Lenkov's body.
Lenkov is breathing heavily.
Lenkov wants to stay close but Tavares steps back to make room for something. Lenkov seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Tavares and Lenkov drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
