Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaden Stephens (ranked 2540 p4p, 2354 weight class) and Roland Verse (ranked 310 p4p, 294 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Kaden Stephens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roland Verse! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Verse wants to clinch up but Stephens keeps it at a distance. Verse lands a body shot.
Stephens swats away the attempt to clinch by Verse. Sloppy strikes from Verse. Those never looked like landing. Verse works over Stephens's head and body with a nice combination. Verse rushes Stephens and presses him up against the cage. Stephens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Verse walks away with a smile on his face. Stephens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Verse fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Verse instigates a clinch. Verse is working Stephens over against the cage. Verse leaning his opponent against the cage. Verse works on Stephens's body with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Verse manages to break the clinch.
Stephens looks to land a left hand but Verse moved out of range nicely. Some wild striking there from Verse.
Verse connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stephens's hands. Verse closes the distance and pushes Stephens back into the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Verse. Verse breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stephens dodges the punch combination from Verse.
Stephens misses with a hook. Verse unleashes a big counter combination but Stephens bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Stephens avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Verse has closed the distance and engaged Stephens in a clinch.
Stephens definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Verse lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stephens backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Verse is working Stephens over against the cage. Verse pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Verse scores with a takedown into Stephens's guard. Stephens is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stephens is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Verse is looking to control Stephens's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Verse avoid being mounted? Stephens seems to be working for a kimura but Verse defends the submission attempt. Stephens trying to control the action but Verse is working from the bottom. Stephens moves into full mount! Verse won't be happy about that! Verse keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stephens is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Verse to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Verse shrugs it off. Stephens wants to control the pace but Verse is squirming around nicely. Verse is looking to get to half guard. Stephens trying to control but Verse is having none of it. You get the feeling that Verse really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Stephens is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Verse has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Verse is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stephens pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Verse really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Verse is squirming around, avoiding Stephens's attempts to control the action. Stephens forces the positional change into back control. Stephens working for the choke. This has been an exciting period of action! Stephens sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Verse taps out!
