Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aki Kangasmaki (ranked 24682 p4p, 4643 weight class) and Sim Lee (ranked 499 p4p, 467 weight class). The key to victory for Aki Kangasmaki has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aki Kangasmaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sim Lee! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kangasmaki throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease. And Lee tries to counter it with a takedown but Kangasmaki pushes his down on his head and steps out. Lee shoots in for a takedown but Kangasmaki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Kangasmaki counter with a right hand.
 It looks like Sim Lee has been cut. Kangasmaki throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease. Lee takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Kangasmaki shows good takedown defense. Aki Kangasmaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sim Lee. Kangasmaki throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Lee's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Kangasmaki dives in looking to finish as Lee flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Kangasmaki's strikes! Kangasmaki is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Lee's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Lee was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aki Kangasmaki!
