Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xi Daerji (ranked 4645 p4p, 4171 weight class) and Tatsura Onigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsura Onigawa! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Onigawa stuffs the takedown attempt from Daerji. Daerji gets slowly back to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Onigawa. Daerji bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Daerji fails with an attempt to clinch.
Daerji closes the distance and pushes Onigawa back into the cage. Onigawa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Daerji walks away with a smile on his face. Onigawa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Onigawa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Onigawa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Onigawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Onigawa passes Daerji's left leg - he's now in half guard. Onigawa passes to side control. Daerji prevents Onigawa from improving position. Onigawa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Daerji is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Daerji wants to control but Onigawa postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Onigawa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Daerji prevents Onigawa from moving into mount. Onigawa goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Daerji rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Onigawa's guard! Nice work there by Daerji! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Onigawa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Daerji defends it easily. Daerji slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Daerji knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Onigawa on the ground. Onigawa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daerji decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Onigawa, up you get! Daerji closes this distance looking for a takedown but Onigawa circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xi Daerji. That's going to take a lot out of him. Daerji shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Onigawa sprawls well. Onigawa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daerji gets slowly back to his feet. Daerji sets himself, and Onigawa steps forward looking for the clinch! Daerji avoids it this time. Onigawa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Daerji's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Onigawa looking to pass the guard. Onigawa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Onigawa tries to advance to mount but can't. Onigawa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Daerji has escaped the position, nice work there. Onigawa has knee on belly and moves into mount. Daerji defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Onigawa. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tatsura Onigawa dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. No luck with that takedown attempt from Daerji. Onigawa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. No luck for Daerji with that takedown attempt. Onigawa keeps the fight on the outside. Onigawa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Daerji sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Onigawa stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xi Daerji. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daerji tries for a takedown but Onigawa circles away easily so Onigawa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Onigawa passes Daerji's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Onigawa is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Daerji! Onigawa is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Daerji is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Daerji flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Onigawa anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Daerji and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Onigawa slips an arm under Daerji chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Onigawa has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Onigawa is squeezing on Daerji like an anaconda would it's prey. Daerji fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tatsura Onigawa!
