Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Dean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Allan! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Some wild striking there from Allan.
A big left from Dean misses. Allan fails to land with a series of punches.
Allan wants to clinch. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Allan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allan lands a really nice looking cross but Dean seems unphased.
Allan throws a body shot but no joy. Allan scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allan throws the kick towards the body but Dean avoids it. Allan tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dean is able to avoid easily. Dean was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Allan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dean swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Dean throws the left hand but Allan avoids the punch easily. Dean with a nice cross. Allan throws a big shot that misses. Dean throws an off balance right hand
and Allan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Allan throws a leg kick enabling Dean to counter with a crisp jab. Allan misses with a leg kick. Dean swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Allan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dean back to the cage. Allan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Allan lands a left and a right that send Dean crashing to the mat, dazed. Allan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Dean is rocked!
It looks like Shawn Dean has been cut. Dean has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Allan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dean. Oh Dean is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allan with a nice calf kick. Dean throws an off balance right hand
and Allan counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Dean off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Allan follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Dean was out before he hit the floor.
