Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between charles smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yasuo Yoshifumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yasuo Yoshifumi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with charles smith's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, charles smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yasuo Yoshifumi! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoshifumi tries to bum rush smith with a series of wild strikes but smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault. smith dodges the punch combination from Yoshifumi.
Yoshifumi throws out a loose jab but smith uses good head movement to avoid it. smith fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yoshifumi sprawls well initially but smith persists and gets the takedown into half guard. smith is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. smith controlling the action here. smith is working for a kimura but Yoshifumi is defending it quite comfortably.
Yoshifumi is defending against the submission attempts here by smith.
That's one minute gone in the round. smith is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Yoshifumi reverses the position - he's now on top in smith's guard. smith wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. smith doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Yoshifumi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Yoshifumi got a little sloppy there for a moment and smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yoshifumi has managed to get both his arms back between smith's legs - danger averted. Yoshifumi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
smith is breathing heavily. Yoshifumi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yoshifumi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping smith at a distance.

A jab lands there for Yoshifumi. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Yoshifumi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yoshifumi lands the left hand. smith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Yoshifumi to score with a decent uppercut. Yoshifumi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yoshifumi looks to land a combination but smith avoids it well. Yoshifumi gets caught flat footed, as smith shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! smith loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yoshifumi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now smith has Yoshifumi in his guard. smith working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Yoshifumi has passed into half guard!
Yoshifumi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. smith looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. smith is looking to get back to full guard here but Yoshifumi has managed to pass to side control instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yasuo Yoshifumi dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Yoshifumi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Oooh a lovely combination from Yoshifumi sends smith down but not out. Yoshifumi dives into side control looking to finish.
smith is rocked!
It looks like charles smith has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yoshifumi is staying tight to smith's torso, preventing him from escaping. Oh smith is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! smith wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Yoshifumi stands up and beckons smith to his feet. smith seems to have got his legs back now. Yoshifumi rushes smith with punches - smith moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, smith goes down! Yoshifumi follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yasuo Yoshifumi!
