Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Beetle Juice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Banton!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juice with a poor takedown
and Banton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Juice moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Banton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Juice passes Banton's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Banton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Juice wants to work for an arm triangle but Banton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Juice is keen to just control but Banton is a slippery customer.
Juice moves nicely into side control.
Juice has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Banton is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Juice yanks on the arm and Banton is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Juice.
