Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reid Erickson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zoltan Szobo!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szobo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Szobo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Erickson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Szobo throws a lazy right hand but Erickson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Szobo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've been told by Erickson's head coaches at BANZAI COMBAT ACADEMY HELSINKI that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Erickson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Erickson cracks Szobo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Szobo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Erickson finish him?

That has opened up Zoltan Szobo's cut even more.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Erickson counters with a nice right hand that sends Szobo toppling to the canvas! Szobo scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Erickson finish him?!
Erickson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

As Erickson backs off Szobo throws a huge counter combo but Erickson manages to avoid it all.

and Erickson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Szobo! He's just covering up as Erickson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
