Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kin Kon (ranked 974 p4p, 1809 weight class) and Rinya Nakamura (ranked 85 p4p, 135 weight class). Kin Kon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kin Kon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rinya Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kon slips a jab from Nakamura.
Kon seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Nakamura uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kon.
Kon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kon throws out a loose jab but Nakamura uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kon misses with a series of wild punches.
Nakamura with the counter takedown but Kon avoids it easily.
Kon thuds his right hand into Nakamura's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nakamura tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nakamura moves out of range of the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakamura throws a jab when Kon was well out of range.
Kon wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Nakamura gets tackled into the cage by Kon. Kon maintains the clinch.
Kon lands a hook that snaps the head of Nakamura backwards.
Nakamura's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nakamura misses with a straight left.
Kon rushes Nakamura and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nakamura wants to take the fight to the mat but Kon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nakamura looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kon makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Kon comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Rinya Nakamura has been cut.
Nakamura wants a takedown but no success here.
Kon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Nakamura.
Kin Kon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rinya Nakamura.
Kon lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kon.
A nice left hand lands by Kon.
Nakamura drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Still in the clinch, Kon scores with a nice short uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nakamura drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kon pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kon cracks Nakamura with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nakamura looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kon finish him?
Nakamura is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kon sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Nakamura's defenses. It connects perfectly with Nakamura's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kin Kon!
After the fight, Kin Kon was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
