Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommaso Montanti!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asikainen keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Asikainen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Asikainen misses with an uppercut. Montanti saw that one coming.
Hassan Amir Asikainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montanti moves out of range of the strikes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Montanti! But no joy.

letting Montanti counter with a right hand.

Montanti uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Asikainen.

Asikainen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Montanti sprawls well initially but Asikainen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Montanti is looking to get back to is feet but Asikainen passes into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Asikainen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Montanti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Asikainen has managed to get both his arms back between Montanti's legs - danger averted.

Asikainen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Montanti to the ground. Asikainen is now in Montanti's guard.

Asikainen tries to bum rush Montanti with a series of wild strikes but Montanti uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fighters circling - Montanti throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've been informed that Montanti has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Montanti throws a hook to the side of Asikainen's head but Asikainen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Asikainen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Asikainen lands in his opponent's guard.
Montanti has his feet on Asikainen's thighs here. He's pushed Asikainen off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Asikainen screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
