Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikora Tama (ranked 1537 p4p, 2835 weight class) and Theros Ironfeld (ranked 194 p4p, 323 weight class). Tama kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Haka War Dance. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tama changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ironfeld avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tama is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ironfeld's half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tama connects with a nice short shot to Ironfeld's temple.

Nikora Tama dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Tama tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ironfeld defends well and Tama ends up having to push Ironfeld into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tama is trying to pull guard but Ironfeld has him pressed against the cage.

Tama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ironfeld tries to avoid it but Tama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ironfeld to the ground. Ironfeld escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ironfeld appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikora Tama. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ironfeld swivels and escapes.
Tama shoots in and bounces Ironfeld off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ironfeld wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tama manages to pass to side control.

Ironfeld is staying active underneath Tama, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Nikora Tama overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

It looks like Theros Ironfeld has been cut.

Ironfeld is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Tama postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Ironfeld in real trouble here! The ref calls for Ironfeld to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikora Tama!
In defeat, Theros Ironfeld stepped up to the mic, saying 'Came in here thinking I could get a chance at that belt, but when the pieces don't fit, the Blacksmith goes back to the forge. I'll be back.'.
