And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Junior Vailima!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix lands a nice shot to the body.
Nix shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vailima as he avoids it easily.
Vailima gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nix misses with a punch on the inside.
Nix tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Vailima gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nix regains guard.
Vailima wants to get up but he can't break Nix's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Nix pushes a forearm under Vailima's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Vailima is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
