Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alfonz Novak (ranked 604 p4p, 780 weight class) and Bruce Kiwi (ranked 78 p4p, 97 weight class). Novak comes into the arena with A Tout Le Monde - Megadeth blaring out of the sound system. Kiwi has chosen Reaper as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alfonz Novak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Kiwi!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novak connects with a jab.
Kiwi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Novak.

Kiwi looks to land a left hand but Novak moved out of range nicely.
Kiwi attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Novak looks to clinch
and Kiwi counters with a stiff right hand.
Novak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kiwi.
Novak half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Novak looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Novak will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Kiwi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Kiwi gets caught napping as Novak dives in and scores a takedown. Kiwi manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Novak is looking to work some ground and pound but Kiwi has wrist control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Novak's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Novak wants to control from the top but Kiwi keeps moving.
Novak lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Kiwi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Novak wants to control but Kiwi is keeping him busy.

Novak scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kiwi to see if he's OK.
Novak looks up at the clock and then as Kiwi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Novak smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kiwi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Novak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Novak cracks Kiwi with a big right hand but Kiwi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
A big shot lands for Novak! That's hurt Kiwi! Will he recover? Novak fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
