Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Jobsdry (ranked 3747 p4p, 3837 weight class) and Cormack Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joey Jobsdry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cormack Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jobsdry falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jacobs counters with a one-two to the body. Jacobs takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jacobs shoots in but no luck this time. Jobsdry seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Jacobs dives in for a single leg takedown but Jobsdry sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jobsdry shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jacobs napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jacobs is trying to control Jobsdry's posture but Jobsdry avoids it. Jobsdry wants to control but Jacobs is keeping him busy. Jobsdry slows the pace down. Jacobs is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jacobs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jacobs controlling the position. Jacobs trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jobsdry wants to stand but Jacobs has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jobsdry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jobsdry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jobsdry is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jobsdry shoots for a takedown but Jacobs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jobsdry shoots in for a takedown but Jacobs shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jobsdry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jacobs swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jobsdry closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jacobs's guard. Jobsdry tries to stand but Jacobs is controlling from the bottom. Jacobs is looking for a triangle but Jobsdry pushes his legs off easily.
Jacobs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jobsdry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jobsdry has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jacobs is proving hard to escape from. Jobsdry trying to control but Jacobs is working from the bottom. Jobsdry prevents Jacobs from getting back to his feet. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jobsdry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobs on the ground. Jacobs keeping full guard, as Jobsdry tries to pass.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jacobs wants to clinch up but Jobsdry keeps it at a distance. Jobsdry tried to counter with a leg kick but Jacobs avoided it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jobsdry misses with a takedown attempt and Jacobs counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jacobs. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Jobsdry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jobsdry has had enough of the clinch but Jacobs keeps him there for the moment. Jacobs decides to pull guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jacobs is on top in guard.
Jacobs passes easily into side control. Nice work. Jacobs is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jobsdry has escaped the position, nice work there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jacobs gets to mount! Jobsdry was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cormack Jacobs dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Jacobs misses with a head kick.
Jacobs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jobsdry stuffs the takedown. Jobsdry darts in looking for a takedown but Jacobs gets double underhooks and turns Jobsdry into the cage. Jacobs can't break the clinch.
Jacobs is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jobsdry pulls him back up using the underhooks. Joey Jobsdry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cormack Jacobs. Jacobs drags the fight down to the ground.
Jobsdry is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jacobs is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jacobs has escaped and now he's on top! Jobsdry looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jobsdry is wriggling around but Jacobs manages to pass to half guard.

Jobsdry actively working from the bottom here. Jobsdry is in trouble now - Jacobs has advanced to mount! Jobsdry tries to lock up and control but Jacobs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jobsdry tries to improve his position but instead Jacobs has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs looking for the choke from the back. Jacobs wants to control but Jobsdry is keeping busy. Jobsdry is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jacobs gets his way!

Jobsdry covering up well under a barage of strikes. Jacobs throwing sloppy strikes. Jacobs gets his hands free as Jobsdry looks to control. Jobsdry is trying to stand back up.

Jacobs looking for the choke but no joy. Jacobs throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Jobsdry trying to control the position but Jacobs manages to sink in the hooks. Jacobs controlling well, preventing Jobsdry from escaping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jobsdry is working hard here to advance position. Jacobs has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jacobs tries to get the hooks in deep but Jobsdry pushed the leg off. Jacobs keeps control of the position as Jobsdry tries to break free.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jacobs wants to control but Jobsdry is keeping busy. And that is the end of the round. Cormack Jacobs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Jobsdry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Jobsdry misses with an attempted mid kick.

Jobsdry on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jobsdry tries to get out of the position. Jacobs advances position into side control! Jacobs is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jobsdry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jacobs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jobsdry tries to lock up and control but Jacobs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jacobs unloads with some shots from mount but Jobsdry bucks and avoids them well.
Jobsdry wants to hold on but Jacobs pushes him away. Jobsdry looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. And that's the end of the fight! Cormack Jacobs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jacobs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
