The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Monkey gets caught flat footed, as Pervitin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Pervitin (2) vs (0) Monkey The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pervitin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Monkey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pervitin has managed to get both his arms back between Monkey's legs - danger averted. Pervitin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pervitin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Monkey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pervitin has Monkey in his guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Pervitin (2) vs (2) Monkey Pervitin working for a triangle but Monkey defends it easily.
Monkey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Monkey is still trying to improve position. Monkey is sitting in close to Pervitin's body. Pervitin has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Monkey is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Monkey is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pervitin.

After the fight, Mr Pervitin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things.
