And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 19 wins and 12 losses; Senger Line! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Cruz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Line as he avoids it easily. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Cruz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Line not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Line is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Line stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Cruz pulls Line in close to prevent any damage. Cruz keeping full guard, as Line tries to pass. Line is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Line is thwarting Cruz's attempts to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Line wins on points by 5 to 0. During a confident post fight interview, Senger Line thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. |
