Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Old Grappling (ranked 1938 p4p, 1990 weight class) and Ryk Anders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grappling comes to the cage accompanied by After Dark - Old Grappling. Ryk Anders acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Old Grappling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryk Anders! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grappling with a body punch. A glancing blow. Anders lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Grappling has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Anders. Anders defending well as Grappling loads up on a big left hand. Anders chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Anders throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Grappling doesn't manage to clinch there - Anders circles away.
Anders scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Old Grappling has been cut. Anders clinches up against the cage. Anders working aggressively here.
Anders breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anders steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grappling. Anders has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Grappling fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Anders to the ground. Grappling is now in Anders's guard. Anders lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Grappling tries to land a sweep but no joy. Anders pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Grappling is keeping the position for now. Anders pushes down on Grappling's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anders is keen to just control but Grappling is a slippery customer. Anders drops an elbow to the side of Grappling's head. Anders is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Grappling blocking the ground and pound attempt from Anders. Anders throwing shots but Grappling is blocking nicely. Anders is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Grappling sees it coming and defends easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Grappling tries to roll over but Anders keeps him under control. Anders is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Grappling reverses the position - he's now on top in Anders's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Anders wants to sweep but no luck. Grappling trying to control the position from guard on top but Anders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grappling is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Anders is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grappling accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Anders thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Anders is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Grappling is controlling him. Anders trying to control the position.
Grappling postures up in Anders's guard and throws a big left but Anders blocks it. Grappling trying to control but Anders is working from the bottom. Anders wants to stand and escape but Grappling is having none of it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Anders throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anders rushes Grappling and presses him up against the cage. Grappling can't find room to land a body shot as Anders controls the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anders prevents the takedown attempt.
Anders using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Grappling has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Grappling lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short right from Anders. Grappling tries a body shot but Anders blocks it.
Anders tries to work over Grappling's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Anders softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Anders tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Grappling's elbow. Anders dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Anders is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Grappling is keeping busy. Grappling goes for a takedown in the clinch but Anders prevents it.
Grappling has a couple of punches blocked by Anders.
Anders lands a right hand. Anders makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ryk Anders dominated that round. The cut man is working on Old Grappling's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Grappling tries to clinch there but Anders circles away.
Grappling keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Anders. Grappling bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Anders misses with a body kick. Anders feints and then cracks Grappling's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Grappling down. Horrible takedown attempt by Grappling or perhaps it was just good defense by Anders, which made it look bad. Grappling looks to score with a jab to the body but Anders is just out of range. Grappling with a body punch. A glancing blow. Grappling on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Grappling ducks right into an uppercut from Anders. Anders throws a lazy right hand but Grappling sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice uppercut there from Anders. A nice inside leg kick there by Anders. That's going to slow Grappling down. Ryk Anders seems to be getting the better of the standup. Anders moves out of range as Grappling strikes. The crowd cheers as Anders lands an impressive looking overhand right. Grappling doesn't seem phased though. Grappling looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Grappling moves out of range of the strikes. Grappling rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Anders counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Grappling is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Grappling shoots in for a takedown but Anders shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Oh Grappling is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Anders drops Grappling with a naaaaasty hook - Grappling is in real trouble here! Anders dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryk Anders! After winning the bout, Ryk Anders thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. In defeat, Old Grappling stepped up to the mic, saying 'I didn't expect this result!
