Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Thurgood (ranked 3945 p4p, 25028 weight class) and Jay Picote (ranked 398 p4p, 490 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erik Thurgood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Picote!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Picote lands with a nice body punch.
Picote looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Thurgood fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Picote scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Picote shoots in for a double leg but Thurgood sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Thurgood throws a series of punches but Picote avoids them all with ease.
Thurgood takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A chopping leg kick lands by Picote.
Thurgood throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Thurgood chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Picote can pounce on him.
Picote connects with an inside leg kick.
Picote stuffs the takedown attempt from Thurgood. Thurgood gets slowly back to his feet.
Picote connects with a solid leg kick.

Picote goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Erik Thurgood has been cut.
Thurgood misses with a two punch combination.
Picote takes the fight into the clinch.
Picote lands an uppercut.
Picote wants a takedown.
Erik Thurgood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Picote.
Picote lands with a light punch inside.

Picote pushes Thurgood back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Picote has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Thurgood avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Picote lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Picote lands a left hand that snaps the head of Thurgood backwards.

Picote pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Picote is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Picote fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
An inside leg kick lands from Picote.
Picote has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Picote wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thurgood seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Picote shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Thurgood is backing up but Picote catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Thurgood covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Picote Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

During a confident post fight interview, Jay Picote thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
