Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Jones (ranked 648 p4p, 863 weight class) and EL Chapo (ranked 89 p4p, 109 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, EL Chapo! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chapo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like EL Chapo has been cut. Jones forces Chapo back against the cage and clinches. Chapo is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Jones misses with a hook to the ribs.
Chapo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jones fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Chapo lands an uppercut. Jones tries to score a body lock takedown but Chapo shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Jones controlling the action here for a moment.
I was talking to Jones's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Chapo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chapo tries to throw a body punch but Jones avoids it by throwing Chapo back against the cage. Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chapo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jones misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Chapo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. EL Chapo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chapo misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throws an off balance right hand
enabling Chapo to counter with a crisp jab. EL Chapo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chapo misses with a wild combination.
Chapo digs a good hook to Jones's body.
Chapo ducks right into an uppercut from Jones. Chapo tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chapo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones. Jab by Jones. Chapo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chapo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Jones darts in and clinches Chapo up against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jones. Jones misses with a body punch.

Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Chapo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones moves to clinch but Chapo breaks away and Chapo counters with a one-two to the body. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chapo swats him away and circles back towards the center. No joy there for Chapo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones throws a body punch but Chapo moves out of range. Chapo moves out of range of the strikes. Jones moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromChapo. Chapo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. It looked like Jones was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Chapo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Chapo misses with an uppercut. A punch combination from Chapo misses. Jones misses with a straight left. Chapo misses with a few strikes there.
Chapo lands a nice shot to the body.
Chapo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Jones scores with a takedown into Chapo's guard. Jones trying to control but Chapo is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Chapo is retaining full guard. Chapo trying to control the position here. Jones stops Chapo from standing up. Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Chapo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones wants to hit a sweep here but Chapo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jones there! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
EL Chapo dominated that round. The cut man is working on EL Chapo's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Jones is looking to clinch. Chapo looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Jones drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chapo sprawls and moves away. Jones wants to clinch but Chapo slips to the side letting Chapo counter with a right hand. Jones is looking to clinch but Chapo is avoiding it.
Jones connects with the punch. Chapo tries a head kick but it misses.
Chapo ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jones staying out of range there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chapo jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jones closes the distance but Chapo moves to the side enabling Chapo to counter with a crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chapo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones. Chapo tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That has opened up EL Chapo's cut even more. EL Chapo seems to be getting the better of the standup. Chapo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. Jones throws a combination that misses and Chapo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chapo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Chapo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice straight punches there by Chapo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chapo. EL Chapo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones lands a big right hand that sends Chapo crashing to the mat! Jones stays standing though and waves Chapo back to his feet!
The cut above EL Chapo's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A bone on bone clash there as Jones blocks the leg kick.
Jones drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chapo sprawls and moves away. Chapo lands a big uppercut and Jones crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Jones looks OK. Chapo waves Jones back to his feet!
Jones is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chapo avoids it really well and circles away. Chapo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Chapo misses with a head kick.
Jones tries to counter by clinching up but Chapo breaks away and moves out of range. Jones instigates a clinch. Chapo working some nice short punches in the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Chapo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Chapo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chapo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jones sprawling to the canvas! Jones rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Chapo finish him?!
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Decent striking displayed by Jones there. Jones seems to have got his legs back now. Chapo cracks Jones on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Jones falls backwards against the cage. Chapo follows up with more strikes that drop Jones to his knees. Chapo keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Jones! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). EL Chapo!
