Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Holmes (ranked 1286 p4p, 2801 weight class) and Bofur Widenose (ranked 163 p4p, 307 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Holmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bofur Widenose!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Widenose looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holmes is fending him off so far but Widenose persists. Nope, Holmes circles away and we're back to standing.
Holmes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Holmes gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Holmes with a knee to the head.
Holmes lands an uppercut.
Widenose jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Holmes walks away with a smile on his face. Widenose gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Holmes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Widenose drives through and clinches with Holmes against the cage.
Holmes tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A right hook to the body lands for Holmes.
Widenose is trying to trip Holmes. He has hold of a leg but Holmes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Widenose persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Holmes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Widenose is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Holmes.
Holmes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Widenose wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Holmes sneaks back into half guard.
Widenose is trying to control. Holmes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Widenose is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Widenose prevents Holmes from improving his position.
Widenose trying to control from half guard but Holmes is working away.
Holmes looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Widenose pushes past his half guard into mount!
Holmes is wriggling around trying to escape.

Holmes is working hard here to advance position.
Widenose landing strikes from the mount and Holmes is in trouble!
Widenose prevents Holmes from getting the reversal.
Holmes manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Widenose looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Widenose uses his free foot to push down on Holmes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Holmes.
Widenose scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Widenose is landing with some decent strikes but Holmes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Holmes is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Widenose looking to control but Holmes is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Widenose lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Holmes hang on?
Widenose wants to finish this one by submission but Holmes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Widenose.

Holmes is desperately trying to improve his position but Widenose has a good base and remains in mount.
Holmes gets back to half guard.
Widenose is looking to advance position but Holmes won't allow it.
Holmes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Widenose's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Widenose's back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Widenose trying to control the position but Holmes manages to sink in the hooks.
Holmes has got his arm under Widenose's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Widenose has spun round into Holmes's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Widenose looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Holmes looking for a triangle here. Widenose is fighting it but it looks tight! Holmes pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Widenose is tapping out - this one is all over!
