Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Parker (ranked 1980 p4p, 2816 weight class) and Gaston Joris (ranked 253 p4p, 337 weight class). Samuel Parker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Samuel Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gaston Joris! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joris scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Parker's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Joris connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Parker scrambles back to his feet. Parker moves into the clinch. Parker manages to pull guard.
Joris has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Parker is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parker is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Parker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Joris avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Joris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Parker is on top in guard.
Parker content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Parker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Parker wants to control from the top but Joris keeps moving. Parker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Joris is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Joris is wriggling around but Parker manages to pass to half guard.
Joris tries to kick Parker off but Parker keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker not doing much here.
Joris is kicking away at Parker from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Parker grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Joris trying to push Parker off... Joris taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
