Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ali Rakhivokov (ranked 4071 p4p, 2595 weight class) and Peter Okropir (ranked 414 p4p, 287 weight class). Peter Okropir is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Rakhivokov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Okropir! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okropir's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Okropir duly obliges. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rakhivokov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Okropir has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Okropir and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Rakhivokov gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Okropir lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Okropir throws a sloppy head kick and Rakhivokov moves out of range easily. Okropir with a hook. Rakhivokov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Okropir drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rakhivokov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Okropir on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Okropir controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Let's hope that Okropir has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rakhivokov keeping moving, preventing Okropir from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okropir controlling from the top position. Rakhivokov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Okropir defends it easily. Okropir wants to pass the guard but Rakhivokov is keeping the position. Okropir sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Okropir has Rakhivokov up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Okropir is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rakhivokov pulls him back up using the underhooks. Rakhivokov is looking to break free of the clinch but Okropir has double underhooks. Okropir ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Okropir no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okropir keeping moving, preventing Rakhivokov from controlling successfully. Okropir trying to control the position here. Okropir wants to stand and escape but Rakhivokov is having none of it. Okropir lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rakhivokov trying to keep a closed guard but Okropir is proving a slippery customer.
Rakhivokov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Rakhivokov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Okropir. Okropir works a leg free and moves into half guard. Okropir not doing much here.
We've been informed that Okropir has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Okropir wants to free his trapped foot but Rakhivokov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Okropir stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rakhivokov won't allow Okropir to pass to mount. Rakhivokov tries to roll over but Okropir keeps him under control. Okropir gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Okropir lands with a kick to the temple. Rakhivokov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Ali Rakhivokov has been cut. Okropir shoots in for a takedown but Rakhivokov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Okropir scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Good shot there by Okropir. Okropir clinches. A quick uppercut on the inside from Okropir. Okropir is defending well against a takedown attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Okropir dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ali Rakhivokov's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rakhivokov. Rakhivokov tries to clinch but Okropir moves out of range. Okropir is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Okropir doesn't manage to clinch there - Rakhivokov circles away.
Okropir has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A head kick misses from Rakhivokov. Okropir closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rakhivokov quickly recovers to half guard. Rakhivokov manages to escape and get back to his feet! Okropir lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rakhivokov's sensitive parts. Rakhivokov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rakhivokov moves forwards but Okropir connects with a nice, crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Okropir shoots in and bounces Rakhivokov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rakhivokov is wriggling around but Okropir manages to pass to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Okropir has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okropir looking to secure an arm triangle but Rakhivokov defends it well. The referee warns Rakhivokov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Okropir controlling his opponent. Okropir quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Okropir but it's paid off an Rakhivokov is forced to tap! Nice work by Okropir.

A very excited looking Peter Okropir made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet.
