Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Mal (ranked 4543 p4p, 3714 weight class) and Luis Caceres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Mal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Caceres! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Caceres as he jumps to the side. A punch combination from Mal misses. Mal has managed to clinch.
Mal has Caceres pressed against the cage, preventing Caceres from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Caceres has Mal pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mal manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mal fails to pull guard.
Caceres wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mal has him pressed against the cage. Mal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mal pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caceres rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mal moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice sprawl there from Caceres as Mal shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Mal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mal throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Mal shoots in but Caceres avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mal gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Caceres jumps guard but Mal stands there with Caceres around his waist. Caceres gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Caceres jumps into guard, dragging Mal to the mat.
Caceres tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mal trying to control the position from guard on top but Caceres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mal would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Mal in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mal working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mal wants to control from the top but Caceres keeps moving. Caceres is looking for a triangle here but Mal uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Mal controlling the position from side mount. Caceres tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Caceres is squirming around, avoiding Mal's attempts to control the action. Mal controlling the pace for now. Mal throws a wild left hand from mount and Caceres manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Caceres trying to control but Mal postures up.
Mal looks to land a strike but Caceres avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Mal wants to control from the top but Caceres keeps moving. Mal won't allow Caceres to sweep him here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Caceres is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Caceres misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Mal dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Mal is trying hard to land a takedown here. Caceres sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Andrew Mal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mal. Caceres is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Caceres slaps away a takedown attempt from Mal, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Mal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Caceres avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Caceres feints the counter takedown. Mal with a poor takedown and Caceres counters with a one-two to the body. Mal fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caceres throws a head kick that misses letting Mal counter with a right hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Caceres looking to score a takedown here. Mal is defending well but Caceres drives through and ends up in Mal's guard. Caceres pushing down on Mal's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Caceres is taking a breather. Mal says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mal trying to control here.
Caceres is keen to just control but Mal is a slippery customer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mal makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mal. Mal keeping moving, preventing Caceres from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Caceres decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nice takedown defense from Mal. No joy for Caceres on that attempt. Mal dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Caceres scores with a takedown into Mal's guard. Mal tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Caceres can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Caceres drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caceres jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caceres decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mal, up you get! Mal throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Caceres fails with the takedown. Caceres takes a jab right on the kisser.
Caceres keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Caceres looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Luis Caceres seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mal tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Caceres defends well and Mal ends up having to push Caceres into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Caceres tries to score a body lock takedown but Mal shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Caceres drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mal breaks the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Caceres showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mal tries to score a power double leg takedown but Caceres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mal somewhat. Caceres keeps the fight on the outside. It seemed like Caceres was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caceres turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Caceres manages to end up in side control. Caceres throws a strike aimed at the side of Mal's head but Mal avoids it well. A lull in the action here as Caceres stalls from top position. Caceres has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caceres misses with a leg kick and Mal counters with a big head kick but Caceres shrugs it off. Caceres feints and as Mal raises his hands in defense, Caceres changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Caceres wants to control from the top but Mal keeps moving. Caceres thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Caceres trying to control but Mal is working from the bottom. Mal might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mal is trying to keep Caceres in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mal pulls Caceres in close to prevent any damage. Caceres trying to control the position from guard on top but Mal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Caceres stands up and waves to Mal to follow him. Caceres displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Caceres misses with a jab, cross combination.
No luck for Caceres with that takedown attempt. Mal swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Caceres throws a head kick that misses and Mal counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mal darts in looking for a takedown but Caceres gets double underhooks and turns Mal into the cage. Caceres is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Mal can't get the takedown.
Caceres fails to pull guard.
Mal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mal gets caught napping as Caceres dives in and scores a takedown. Mal manages to retain guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mal seems keen to control Caceres's posture. Caceres wants to control from the top but Mal keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Luis Caceres comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Caceres has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
