Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Mallin (ranked 1969 p4p, 2083 weight class) and Ashi Garami (ranked 256 p4p, 263 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Mallin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ashi Garami!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallin shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Nice straight punches there by Mallin. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mallin.
It looks like Ashi Garami has been cut.
Mallin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Garami drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mallin defends it well.

Mallin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Garamis head.
Mallin tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Garami avoids it.
Garami is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

That has opened up Ashi Garami's cut even more.

Dexter Mallin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashi Garami.
Garami wants to take the fight to the mat but Mallin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The cut above Ashi Garami's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Garami wants the takedown. Mallin is fighting it off but Garami persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mallin's guard against the cage.
Garami slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Garami wants to take a breather but Mallin is having none of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Mallin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Garami connects with a body shot that sends Mallin's belly button to the back.
Mallin throws a leg kick
and Garami counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Mallin!
Garami wants to control but Mallin is keeping him busy.
The ground and pound from Garami seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Garami misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Garami creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mallin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mallin is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Garami is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Garami throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Ashi Garami has got the better of the ground game so far.
Garami misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Garami swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mallin is now in Garami's guard. A big mistake from Garami there, giving up the dominant position!
Mallin won't allow Garami to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mallin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mallin is looking to work some ground and pound but Garami has wrist control.
Garami wants to stand but Mallin is controlling the position.
Garami escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mallin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mallin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mallin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garami swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mallin stands up and waves to Garami to follow him.

Mallin thuds his shin into the meat of Garami's side.
Mallin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Mallin obliges.
Mallin gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Ashi Garami's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ashi Garami's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dexter Mallin!
After winning the bout, Dexter Mallin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
