Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapad Amiga (ranked 23292 p4p, 23148 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 80 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 54 - 66 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion shoots in and drives through. Amiga sprawls well.
Amiga lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Salvacion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Amiga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salvacion somewhat.
Amiga seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Salvacion feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Amiga tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Salvacion defends well and Amiga ends up having to push Salvacion into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
