Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23308 p4p, 23261 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 49 - 70 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 76 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Buktot shoots in for a takedown but Bitok shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Buktot.

Bitok gets caught napping as Buktot dives in and scores a takedown. Bitok manages to retain guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Bitok tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buktot swivels and escapes.
Buktot is looking to counter with a body kick.
Buktot shoots for a double leg takedown but Bitok sprawls well. He's pushed Buktot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bitok has control of Buktot's left arm, preventing Buktot from doing any damage.
Buktot wants to control from the top but Bitok keeps moving.

Buktot postures up and lands a big shot to Bitok's brow.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Buktot fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Buktot scores with a kick to the body.
Bitok shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buktot as he jumps to the side.
Buktot appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buktot closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bitok did well to prevent Buktot getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bitok tries to get to full guard but Buktot has control of the leg.

Buktot is controlling the pace.
Bitok is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Buktot stalling.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bitok pushes Buktot off but Buktot dives into side control.

Bitok struggling a bit here.
Bitok manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Well, if Bitok is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Buktot wants to control but Bitok is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bitok not doing much here.

Buktot trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Bitok manages to pass to mount!
Buktot wants to hold on but Bitok pushes him away.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kulata Bitok will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Buktot's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Buktot fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bitok sprawls well initially but Buktot persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Buktot is controlling the pace.

Still in half guard, Buktot seems content to control.
Buktot trying to mount his opponent but Bitok defends it.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Bitok is trying to maintain the position but Buktot is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

I think Buktot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
