The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Virtanen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Virtanen showed some decent athleticism there.
Tokita is defending against the submission attempts here by Virtanen.
Virtanen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Virtanen wants to work for an arm triangle but Tokita is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
