Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathaniel Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ishaq Al Hamidi! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Hamidi moves into range and clinches up with Jones. Al Hamidi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Al Hamidi wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Al Hamidi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones pushing down on Al Hamidi's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jones seems to be looking for submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones is trying to control. Al Hamidi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Al Hamidi tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Al Hamidi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Al Hamidi is defending well.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Al Hamidi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Al Hamidi can do anything to dispel that myth. Al Hamidi is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. Jones trying to control the action but Al Hamidi is working from the bottom. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Al Hamidi. Jones looks to land a combination but Al Hamidi avoids it well. Al Hamidi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jones sneaks out the side door and pushes Al Hamidi away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Jones is looking for a counter combo. Al Hamidi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. Jones throws a combination. Al Hamidi tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jones misses with a double jab.
Al Hamidi shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jones working a defensive guard here.

Jab by Jones. Al Hamidi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jones momentarily.

Al Hamidi on the wrong end of a nice hook. Al Hamidi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones. Al Hamidi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. Jones throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Al Hamidi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Al Hamidi moves out of range easily. A nice side step and Al Hamidi releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Al Hamidi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
Al Hamidi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones misses with a wild combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nathaniel Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Jones pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Al Hamidi back to the cage. Jones follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Jones throws a series of punches but Al Hamidi avoids them all with ease. Al Hamidi looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range. Jones throws a big counter combination but Al Hamidi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jones scores with a kick to the midsection. Al Hamidi is looking to clinch. Jones throws a right and a left that Al Hamidi avoids nicely. Jones connects with a leg kick. Jones gets caught flat footed, as Al Hamidi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jones controls Al Hamidi momentarily but Al Hamidi frees himself. Al Hamidi content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Jones has his hands on Al Hamidi's head, controlling the position. Ishaq Al Hamidi has got the better of the ground game so far. Al Hamidi postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.

Al Hamidi looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jones stops Al Hamidi from standing up. Al Hamidi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones won't allow Al Hamidi to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones. Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Al Hamidi has time to react. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Jones with a nice calf kick. Jones fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Al Hamidi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Jones throws a right and a left that Al Hamidi avoids nicely. Nathaniel Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones connects with a jab.
Al Hamidi is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones Throws a clean left jab. Jones Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Al Hamidi's chin! Al Hamidi crumbles to the ground and Jones follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Jones!
