Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kai Asakura (ranked 2622 p4p, 4364 weight class) and Ben Boone (ranked 178 p4p, 253 weight class). Boone has chosen Here Comes the Boom as his entrance music. The key to victory for Kai Asakura has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Boone!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura scores with a one two! Boone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Boone shoots in looking for a takedown but Asakura manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boone throws a sloppy head kick
and Asakura counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Boone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Asakura avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boone throws the kick towards the body but Asakura avoids it.
Asakura changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Boone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee asks Boone politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boone prefers to stall for the moment though.
It looks like Boone might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boone gets to mount! Asakura was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Asakura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boone on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Boone lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Asakura is bucking up trying to escape but Boone cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Boone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Boone has hold of Asakura's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Asakura manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Boone is landing with some decent strikes but Asakura is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Asakura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Boone darts in looking for a takedown but Asakura gets double underhooks and turns Boone into the cage.

Asakura tries to close the distance and clinch but Boone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Asakura lands a nice looking body kick.

It looked like Asakura was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Boone shoots in and drives through. Asakura sprawls well.

Kai Asakura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Boone.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boone has taken the fight to the clinch.
Asakura crunches a lovely knee into Boone's ribcage.
Asakura is trying to break the clinch but Boone has him pressed against the cage.

Boone goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Asakura throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Asakura pinned against the cage. Asakura gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Asakura tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boone throws a poor cross that misses
and Asakura counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Asakura throws a series of punches but Boone avoids them all with ease.
Asakura throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Boone counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Asakura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Asakura keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Boone's efforts to push away.
Boone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Asakura doesn't manage to clinch there - Boone circles away.
No joy there for Asakura, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boone wants to counter with a clinch but Asakura pushes him away.
Nice jab there from Asakura.
Asakura throws a looping overhand right but Boone ducks down to avoid it.
Asakura moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBoone.
Boone fails to land the takedown.
Asakura tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Asakura scores with a head kick. Boone tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Asakura lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Asakura lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boone manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Asakura on his heels. He'll look to pass Asakura's guard now, I'm sure.
Asakura is looking to stand back up but Boone counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Asakura.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kai Asakura dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Asakura tries a head kick but it misses.
Kai Asakura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Asakura lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boone pushes Asakura up against the cage in a clinch.
Boone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Boone lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Boone not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Boone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Asakura doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boone.

Boone is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Asakura is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Boone locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Asakura is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ben Boone!
A less than humble Ben Boone misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
