Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Will Bond (ranked 2278 p4p, 3171 weight class) and Bobby Stuarts (ranked 190 p4p, 256 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Bond!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Stuarts!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stuarts thows a leg kick but Bond checks it

and Bond counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stuarts!
Stuarts can't do much from the bottom here.

Bond tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Stuarts is looking for a sweep.

Bond wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stuarts, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bond drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stuarts manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bond has Stuarts in his guard.

Bobby Stuarts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Bond went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Bond has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Stuarts is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bond.

Bond has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stuarts is working away from the top position though.

Bond is controlling Stuarts's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Stuarts stalling away here and it's allowed Bond to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Bond is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Stuarts trying to control but Bond is working from the bottom.
Stuarts is pushing down on Bond's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bond is fighting to maintain full guard but Stuarts has managed to sneak the leg through.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stuarts is trying to control the action in half guard but Bond is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Bobby Stuarts.
I think Stuarts has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
