Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brad Pfanne (ranked 589 p4p, 1983 weight class) and Eli Vieira (ranked 70 p4p, 216 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brad Pfanne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eli Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pfanne closes the distance and clinches up with Vieira, looking for a takedown. Pfanne pushes Vieira against the cage but Vieira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A little jabbing left from Vieira on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Pfanne throws an off balance right hand
letting Vieira counter with a right hand.
Pfanne tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pfanne takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pfanne doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Vieira counters with a straight right hand.
Pfanne fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Pfanne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pfanne shoots in for a takedown but Vieira shows good takedown defense.

Pfanne's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vieira connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pfanne scrambles back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pfanne is defended easily by Vieira.
Brad Pfanne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vieira closes the distance and pushes Pfanne back into the cage.

Vieira breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pfanne is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vieira's half guard.

Pfanne postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Vieira's head off the mat! Vieira is out! He's out! Pfanne jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
