Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 23756 p4p, 3665 weight class) and Alan West (ranked 463 p4p, 343 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan West!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zakrzewski sprawls well initially but West persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Zakrzewski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Zakrzewski is pressing down on West's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Zakrzewski trying to control the position.
Zakrzewski tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
West stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zakrzewski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
West looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

It looks like West might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

West is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zakrzewski wants to stand up but West is controlling him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

West is pressing down on Zakrzewski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Zakrzewski is holding on for now.
West perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Zakrzewski has his foot on West's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. West works his way back into a safe position though.

West shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zakrzewski is trying to defend but West finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

West throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zakrzewski was covering up waiting for the punch and West finishes the takedown easily into guard.
West won't allow Zakrzewski to get back to his feet.

West has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zakrzewski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. West gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Alan West is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Alan West comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well West has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
