Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Shamus McSorley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Geraldo Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez fails with a takedown attempt.
McSorley tries to counter with a takedown but Hernandez is quick to defend against it.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McSorley as he jumps to the side.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McSorley but McSorley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shamus McSorley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geraldo Hernandez.
Hernandez fails with the takedown.
McSorley tests Hernandez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That kick from McSorley tenderised Hernandez's leg. Hernandez is trying to keep his angry face on.
McSorley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McSorley wants it to stay on the feet.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown but McSorley shows good takedown defense.
Hernandez shoots in but McSorley avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hernandez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McSorley thuds a left hand into Hernandez's body.
Hernandez goes for a double leg but McSorley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McSorley continues to drive forward.
Hernandez moves forwards but McSorley connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hernandez needs to keep his hands up - McSorley had a free shot at his head there.
Hernandez is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. McSorley engages and cracks Hernandez with a massive lead left hook - Hernandez tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! McSorley is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shamus McSorley!
