Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 27 - 0, fighting out of London, Tu Barrels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Halme!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halme misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barrels looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Halme darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Barrels misses with a right hand
and Halme counters with a right hand to the body.
Halme avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Barrels wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Barrels throws a body shot but no joy.
A slow jab from Barrels misses its intended target.
Barrels steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Halme. That one must have hurt.
Tu Barrels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barrels misses with a body punch
and Halme counters with a series of strikes that sends Barrels to the canvas! Halme follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barrels tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Barrels might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Halme is fighting to break Barrels's control of his arms but Barrels is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Halme trying to stand up but can't free himself from Barrels's guard.
Barrels pulls Halme in to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barrels continues to stall.
Barrels wants to sweep but no luck.
Halme decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Barrels, up you get!
Halme takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Halme! Barrels is out on his feet! Halme rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Barrels is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Barrels is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Halme!
After the fight, Tony Halme was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
