Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Sherman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Melvin Tate!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate lands a jab to Sherman's midsection.
Sherman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Tate drops Sherman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sherman looks back up at him and smiles so Tate waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tate lands a big right hand that sends Sherman crashing to the mat! Tate stays standing though and waves Sherman back to his feet!
Sherman is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tate cracks Sherman with a left hook right on the temple and Sherman goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Tate lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Sherman is OK!
